About Free Mathematics Community
Free Mathematics Community is an independent platform built on one belief: every student, parent, and teacher deserves access to high-quality learning tools — not just those who can afford subscriptions. Every tool on this site is completely free, runs entirely in your browser, and requires no account, no sign-up, and no credit card.
We cover maths practice for all levels, from kindergarten counting through university calculus, alongside practical finance tools, productivity aids, and career resources. One platform, no paywalls, no exceptions.
Who We Are
Our team is a small group of developers, educators, and subject-matter contributors with backgrounds in mathematics education, software engineering, and curriculum design. We don’t have a marketing department or a VC backer. What we have is a shared frustration with how much genuinely useful educational content is locked behind paywalls — and a determination to build a better alternative.
The maths tools on this site are informed by:
- The UK National Curriculum (KS1 through A-Level)
- The US Common Core State Standards (Grades K–12)
- AP Mathematics and IB Mathematics syllabuses
- First-year university mathematics (calculus, linear algebra, statistics)
Problem types, difficulty levels, and scaffolding are designed to match what students actually encounter in assessments — not just what’s easy to generate algorithmically.
Our Mission
To make unlimited, curriculum-aligned practice problems freely available to every student on earth — and to keep it that way indefinitely.
We don’t run ads that obscure content. We don’t offer a “free tier” designed to frustrate you into upgrading. The free version is the only version because that’s the point. Our costs are kept low through efficient engineering and hosting, not by cutting corners on quality.
What Makes Our Generator Different
- Truly unlimited problems. Every click generates a fresh, unique question. The generator doesn’t cycle through a fixed question bank — it calculates new values each time, so you never see the same problem twice.
- Instant answer feedback. Solutions are shown immediately so you can check your work after each attempt. No waiting, no emailing a teacher, no looking up the back of the book.
- No account required. Open the site, choose a topic and difficulty, start practising. There is no friction between you and the next problem.
- Covers the full curriculum. From single-digit addition through integration by parts, one generator handles the entire school and early university maths curriculum.
- Works on any device. The generator runs entirely in your browser. It works on a laptop, tablet, or phone with no app to download and no software to install.
- Privacy by design. We do not collect, store, or share any data you enter. Everything runs client-side. There are no analytics trackers beyond basic, anonymised page-view counting.
Who Uses This Site
Students use the generator to practise between lessons, prepare for tests, and work through topics they find difficult — without waiting for the next class to get more problems to solve.
Teachers generate fresh problem sets for classroom practice, homework, and differentiated worksheets. Because every student’s generator produces different numbers, copying between classmates doesn’t help.
Parents support their children’s learning at home without needing a maths degree. The difficulty levels are clearly labelled, and the instant feedback means parents don’t need to mark answers themselves.
Homeschool educators use the generator as a curriculum-aligned practice resource that adapts to their student’s current level without requiring a commercial subscription.
Tutors recommend the site to their students for independent practice between sessions, knowing the problems will be appropriate, fresh, and correctly answered.
